AWS Amplify Hosting now integrates with AWS WAF, allowing web application owners to attach a web application firewall to their apps through a one-click integration in the Amplify console or using IaC. This integration provides access to managed rules, custom rules, and features like rate-based rules for DDoS protection and geo-blocking. Setting up AWS WAF protection is straightforward, with four categories of protection available: Amplify-recommended firewall protection, restrict access to amplifyapp.com, enable IP address protection, and enable country protection.
