AWS Systems Manager (SSM) is a centralized management solution for automating tasks, collecting inventory, patching instances, and maintaining security compliance across AWS resources. To use SSM, the SSM agent must be installed on the instance, instance permissions must be configured, and network connectivity to AWS SSM endpoints must be established.
