authID launches authID Identity Exchange (IDX), a platform for modernizing identity security and supporting Zero Trust architecture. IDX provides passwordless, privacy-first, and interoperable digital credentials to stop phishing attacks and verify users for secure access to sensitive systems and data. Developed with NESIC, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, IDX allows authorized personnel to create or claim a central credential for multiple enterprise subsidiaries.
authID® (Nasdaq: AUID), a leading provider of biometric identity verification and authentication solutions, has announced the launch of authID Identity Exchange (IDX), a next-generation platform designed to address long-standing gaps in enterprise identity and access management. IDX is purpose-built to modernize identity security, supporting Zero Trust architecture with passwordless, privacy-first, and interoperable digital credentials.
Developed in partnership with NESIC, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, IDX allows authorized personnel to create or claim a central credential that can be used across multiple subsidiaries of a large enterprise. This simplifies and secures the management of workforce identities, eliminating ghost accounts and shared credentials, and automating onboarding through secure document verification.
Key features of IDX include:
- Privacy-by-Design: Leveraging privacy-preserving biometrics, IDX authenticates users without storing sensitive biometric data, ensuring compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, BIPA, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Frictionless Authentication: IDX combines authID’s PrivacyKey biometric protocol with FIDO2 for strong, unphishable, and passwordless logins.
- AI-Driven Identity Lifecycle Management: Intelligent automation reduces IT overhead and ensures policy compliance from onboarding to revocation.
- Plug-and-Play Integration: IDX works seamlessly with leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms and emerging global identity exchanges.
The initial target use cases for IDX include enterprise workforce authentication, contractor and vendor onboarding, supply chain security, government and public-sector federated credentials, and call centers with strong agent authentication.
Rhon Daguro, CEO of authID, stated, "IDX helps redefine how identity verification should work in a Zero Trust world: unphishable, privacy-first, frictionless, and built to secure every identity across the extended enterprise."
Osamu Kikuchi, EVP, CDO, CIO, and member of the board at NEC Networks & System Integration Corporation, commented, "Having launched the Japanese Identity Exchange via our Symphonict Trust framework, we’re excited to partner with authID to expand this vision globally."
IDX is the first enterprise platform built on the Accountable Digital Identity Association (ADI Association) specification, ensuring alignment with global interoperability and data sovereignty standards.
