The ACE Awards recognize programs that prioritize people, scale globally, and deliver measurable business and social outcomes. AstraZeneca's YHP, a global health equity initiative, focuses on the prevention of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and respiratory diseases. The program, now in its 15th year, has reached over 20 million young people across 40 countries and mobilized 20,000 AstraZeneca employees who have contributed nearly 100,000 hours of volunteer service. YHP has also influenced 18 NCD prevention-related policies worldwide and continues to create leadership pathways for both youth and employees [1].
Viseven's Expert Communities and Unicorns Recognition Program, a newly launched initiative, fosters internal engagement, collaboration, and culture. The program consists of Expert Communities, which promote cross-functional learning and professional development, and the Unicorns Recognition Program, a gamified platform where employees award "UniCoins" to peers exemplifying Viseven's core values. Over 700 employees are currently engaged in these initiatives [2].
The HBA's CEO, Mary Stutts, commented, "The ACE Awards highlight leadership that redefines workforce development in healthcare. AstraZeneca and Viseven have demonstrated how strategic, purpose-driven programs can empower talent, foster innovation, and generate meaningful business outcomes."
