Arm Holdings has unveiled its first in-house chip, the Arm AGI CPU, designed for artificial general intelligence (AGI) infrastructure at scale. The chip boasts up to 64 CPUs and 8,700 cores, offering twice the performance-per-watt of x86 racks. Arm has partnered with Meta Platforms, Cloudflare, OpenAI, SAP, and SK Telecom as initial customers for its inaugural chip.
