ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India to invest Rs 1.36 lakh crore in Andhra Pradesh steel plant

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has laid the foundation for a Rs 1.36 lakh crore ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India steel plant with a capacity of 17.8 million tons per annum. The plant will create one lakh direct and indirect jobs and a captive port with a capacity of 50 million tons will be built at an investment of Rs 11,198 crore, creating another 6,000 jobs. The plant will be set up in 5,465 acres in two phases and will be linked to National Highway 16.
