Arbutus Biopharma Corp. and Genevant Sciences GmbH (Arbutus) have filed a lawsuit against Moderna Inc. and ModernaTX, Inc. (Moderna) for allegedly violating the Prime Directive of patent law by copying Arbutus' inventions during Operation Warp Speed to develop a Covid-19 vaccine. Moderna argues that the case belongs in the Court of Federal Claims and that Arbutus' patents are invalid.
