Aptos Foundation, the non-profit organization behind layer 1 blockchain Aptos, has launched its decentralized community organization, Movemaker, to boost the adoption of Aptos in the Chinese-speaking region. This marks a new phase in the Aptos Foundation's strategic expansion within the Chinese-speaking region.

Movemaker will focus on managing and overseeing the allocation of a dedicated ecosystem grant fund to drive the sustainable development of the Aptos blockchain ecosystem. Built with autonomous decision-making authority, Movemaker aims to efficiently address the needs of developers and ecosystem builders in the Chinese-speaking region while further expanding Aptos' reach and influence in the web3 space worldwide.

Ash Pampati, Head of Ecosystem at Aptos, commented on Movemaker's launch in the Chinese region, stating, "Movemaker is an ode to the Chinese-speaking Aptos community and represents our commitment to unlocking the limitless potential of incredible builders to launch global products... We are excited to accelerate Web3 entrepreneurship through the deep talent pool in this market."

The Aptos Foundation provided Movemaker with multi-million-dollar funding and resource support and collaborated with Ankaa and BlockBooster to facilitate the launch of the new initiative. To achieve its mission, Movemaker has been designed to integrate resources, empower communities, and provide technical support to enhance the Aptos ecosystem.

Avery Ching, CEO and co-founder of Aptos Labs, commented on the development, saying, "The Chinese-speaking community is an invaluable part of the Aptos ecosystem and a massive driver of growth across all of Web3. The launch of Movemaker highlights a deep commitment to this community and its role in driving Web3 innovation... Alongside Ankaa, the teams at Aptos Foundation, Aptos Labs and BlockBooster, I look forward to empowering developers, fostering groundbreaking projects, and establishing a thriving environment for innovation and growth in this key market."

Following its launch, Movemaker will be responsible for community development and outreach for Aptos in the Chinese-speaking market. It will also use Hong Kong as a regional hub to employ a multi-dimensional approach to enhance Aptos' visibility and influence. To ensure the lawful and compliant adoption of Aptos ecosystem projects, Movemaker will work closely with government agencies, industry associations, and business organizations across Hong Kong and the broader Chinese-speaking region.
