Apria Healthcare and Byram Healthcare have partnered with Optum Health, a patient-centered care organization, as a national preferred DME network provider. The partnership will offer patients a range of durable medical equipment products for chronic and acute health needs. Apria and Byram will provide education and support to Optum Health providers and patients, ensuring a seamless transition to their national preferred DME network.

Apria Healthcare and Byram Healthcare, both part of the Owens & Minor (NYSE: OMI) family, have entered into a strategic partnership with Optum Health, a patient-centered care organization. Effective September 1, 2025, the agreement designates Apria and Byram as the national preferred durable medical equipment (DME) network providers for Optum Health. This collaboration aims to enhance patient care by offering a wide range of durable medical equipment products for chronic and acute health needs.

The partnership leverages Apria's and Byram's national scale and expertise to support Optum Health's extensive network of approximately 136,000 aligned care delivery physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs), and 1,900 clinical sites. The collaboration will facilitate seamless management of patients' durable medical equipment needs at home, focusing on areas such as diabetes, sleep health, respiratory care, wound care, urology, and ostomy care.

As part of the agreement, Apria and Byram will provide education and support to Optum Health providers and patients, ensuring a smooth transition to the new national preferred DME network. The providers will have access to a broad range of durable medical equipment products through the provider portal and other communication channels. Additionally, Apria and Byram's sales teams will directly contact providers within the member network to facilitate the transition.
