Apple's (AAPL.US) Fitness+ Introduces New Features, Collaborates with Strava for Enhanced Fitness Experience

Apple (AAPL.US) on Friday announced new features for its Fitness+ streaming fitness service, including new workouts in strength, pickleball, yoga and breathing meditation, and a new partnership with Strava.Apple said the new features would be available on iPhones, iPads and Apple TVs starting January 6 (next Monday).Fitness+ is also partnering with Strava to bring new integrations to the Strava app experience, while offering Strava users a special Fitness+ trial, with famous athletes from the Strava community appearing as guests in workouts.Apple's fitness technology vice president Jay Blahnik said: "Fitness+ is designed to support everyone's unique fitness and health journey, providing enjoyable and inspiring workouts, meditation and plans to help people stay energized and focused."Fitness+ now also offers training plans for pickleball's power, endurance and agility, with coaching from professional pickleball champion Catherine Parenteau, who is ranked No. 1 in both singles and doubles.Meanwhile, the "Artist Spotlight" series returns, with curated playlists of full fitness classes to music from some of the world's biggest stars. Upcoming featured artists include Janet Jackson (starting January 13), Coldplay (January 20), Bruno Mars (January 27) and Kendrick Lamar (February 3).
