Apple is set to introduce a digital ID feature in its Wallet app, allowing US users to create a digital ID using their passport. This will enable them to use it at select TSA checkpoints for domestic travel. The feature was previously announced as part of iOS 26 and will be available in a future software update. This comes as more than a third of US license holders can already use government IDs in Apple Wallet.
