Apple has taken a significant step in its global retail expansion by launching its online store and app in Saudi Arabia, marking the company's first direct support in Arabic. This move follows Apple's commitment to enhancing customer experiences and expanding its market reach.
The launch of the Apple Store online and Apple Store app in Saudi Arabia introduces a new era for customers, offering them a seamless shopping experience with personalized recommendations and support in their native language. The online store and app provide access to Apple's full range of products, including iPhones, Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and more, with exceptional service delivered by Apple's dedicated team members.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of Retail and People, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, stating, “We are thrilled to bring the Apple Store online and the Apple Store app to Saudi Arabia, offering customers a new way to explore and shop Apple’s extraordinary lineup of products and services” [1].
In addition to the online store and app, Apple plans to open its first flagship Apple Store in Saudi Arabia in 2026, with Diriyah as the initial location. This expansion builds on Apple's existing investments in the country, including the region's first Apple Developer Academy, which opened in Riyadh in 2021.
The Apple Store online and app offer several unique features, such as personalized shopping experiences, configure-to-order options for Macs, and free engraving in Arabic and English. The platform also provides support for Apple's retail services, including personalized shopping assistance, Personal Setup, and cellular activation. Furthermore, Apple has introduced the Buy Now Pay Later option through Tamara, allowing customers to shop their favorite lineups and pay in four-month installments at 0 percent interest.
Apple's commitment to sustainability is evident through its Apple Trade In program, which allows customers to trade in their current devices and receive credit toward a new one. If a device is not eligible for credit, Apple will recycle it for free, diverting electronic waste from landfills and saving precious materials.
With the launch of the Apple Store online and app, Apple continues to demonstrate its dedication to providing exceptional customer experiences and expanding its global footprint. The company's plans to open flagship stores in Saudi Arabia and other markets reflect its long-term strategy of growth and innovation.
