The upcoming iPhone SE 4 is expected to come with 8GB of RAM to support Apple Intelligence, a suite of AI features. It will feature an iPhone 14-like design, including Face ID, a USB-C port, an Action button, and an A18 processor. The display is expected to grow to 6.06 inches and use OLED for the first time. The device may be released as early as January 2025.

The iPhone 16 models are rumored to feature a new Capture Button on the right side for better photo and video capturing in landscape mode. The button will support multiple gestures and respond to pressure. The iPhone 16 models will also have bigger displays, a new A18 chip, and 8GB RAM to support Apple Intelligence.

Google introduced new Pixel 9 models integrated with its AI technology, Gemini, which includes features that Google claims surpass Apple Intelligence. Google highlighted Gemini's capabilities in handling complex queries without third-party AI services, contrasted with Apple’s approach of using ChatGPT for certain functions. Google's new Pixel devices come with various AI features, including image generation and call recording.

Apple added new functionality to iPhone Mirroring in the iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia betas, allowing users to manage the Home Screen from their Mac. This includes deleting and rearranging apps and managing widgets. However, there is still no option to access the Lock Screen or Control Center through Mac.

Apple might replace the Blue Titanium color in the iPhone 16 Pro models with a new rose or rose gold titanium color. The new color is described as resembling a "bronze hue" with a titanium-like appearance.

Apple will host its annual National Parks Apple Watch activity challenge on August 25, 2024. Apple Watch owners can earn an activity award by completing a 20-minute workout on this day. The award includes animated stickers for the Messages app.

【Others】

Apple Music with spatial audio is now available in Rivian electric vehicles as part of the company's Connect+ subscription. This allows access to a library of over 100 million songs and other features. Rivian's Premium Audio system supports Dolby Atmos for a more immersive audio experience. A two-month free trial of Connect+ is being offered.

TikTok is introducing new direct messaging features, including group chats supporting up to 32 people and stickers for more visual communication. Group chats are restricted to users aged 16 and over, with additional safety features for younger users. The group chat feature is not currently available everywhere.

India's Competition Commission has recalled two investigative reports accusing Apple of antitrust violations after Apple raised concerns about the disclosure of confidential commercial information. The recall is expected to delay the investigation by several months.

Opera has released its AI-powered Opera One browser for iOS, featuring a minimalist design, Aria AI assistant integration, and several customization options. The app also includes a built-in ad blocker and free VPN service. It is available for free on the App Store.
