Apple has increased its US investment commitment to $600 billion over four years and launched the American Manufacturing Program (AMP) to bring more of its supply chain and advanced manufacturing to the US. The program includes partnerships with 10 companies across the US to produce components used in Apple products sold globally. Apple plans to directly hire 20,000 people in the US over the next four years, mostly in R&D, silicon engineering, software development, and AI and machine learning.
