Apple Arcade has released four new games, including Play-Doh World, Worms Across Worlds, Let's Go Mightycat!, and Everybody Shogi. The games offer creative play, strategic turn-based action, and puzzle-style stages, with some featuring customizable characters and crossplay across devices. Apple Arcade is available for $6.99/month or included in the Apple One bundle, offering access to over 200 ad-free games.

Apple Arcade, Apple's subscription gaming service, has added four new titles to its library, including Play-Doh World, Worms Across Worlds, Let's Go Mightycat!, and Everybody Shogi. These games offer a variety of experiences, from creative play to strategic turn-based action and puzzle-style stages. The new additions enhance the service's appeal, which is priced at $6.99 per month or included in the Apple One bundle [1].

Play-Doh World, developed by Scary Beasties Ltd., allows players to craft characters and create wild zoo animals or style salon hairdos in a colorful, interactive universe. Worms Across Worlds, created by Team17 Digital Limited, features the iconic Worms characters in a strategic turn-based action game across five dimensions. Let's Go Mightycat!, a spin-off of The Battle Cats, enables players to customize their heroic cat and rescue interstellar friends in colorful planetary stages. Everybody Shogi, developed by AltPlus Inc., reimagines the traditional Japanese strategy board game with colorful visuals and intuitive controls, offering daily challenges and crossplay across devices [2].

However, Apple Arcade's growth comes with a significant change in the telecom industry. Verizon has announced the discontinuation of free Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass subscriptions for customers on older 5G plans, effective September 25, 2025. This move is part of Verizon's broader strategy to push customers towards its newer myPlan subscription and Apple One add-on. Verizon's decision follows a pattern of cost increases and benefit reductions, sparking customer backlash [3].

Verizon's changes are aimed at reducing operational costs and focusing on profitability. The company is also seeking to retain high-quality customers by offering personalized support and exclusive events. However, these efforts have led to a loss of 51,000 postpaid customers in Q2 2025 [3].
