Amazon.com (AMZN.US) will add Apple's (AAPL.US) Apple TV+ streaming service to its channel store in the US, offering popular shows like "Ted Lasso" and "Slow Horses" for the first time in its video supermarket.Apple will start selling TV+ subscriptions through Prime later this month, Amazon's senior vice president of Prime Video Mike Hopkins said Wednesday."We're providing a global audience of billions for our channel partners," Hopkins said. "The ability for Prime members to interact with Prime Video globally is a great platform for other partners to reach them."Amazon sells more than 100 streaming services through its channel store, allowing customers to watch shows from Max, Paramount+ and Hallmark inside Prime Video. All of those services rely on Amazon to expand their audiences.Apple TV+ is one of the major streaming services that Amazon does not offer in its store, along with Netflix (NFLX.US) and Disney (DIS.US) major assets. Those two companies are among the few streaming services that have more viewers than Prime Video.Apple has spent billions of dollars on original programming in recent years, winning industry awards and critical acclaim. But its streaming service has yet to attract as many users as Netflix and Amazon. The deal expands on an existing relationship between the two companies. Amazon began offering its Prime Video app on Apple's set-top box in 2017, and Prime Video is integrated into Apple's TV app, covering the iPhone maker's device lineup. The two companies are also retail partners, with Apple selling its official store through Amazon's website.Hopkins also said he expects more integration, with Amazon's streaming services "coming soon" to profitability.
