Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance to Sell $9 Billion Loan Portfolio to Athene for $8.95 Billion

Apollo Commercial Real Estate Finance has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its $9 billion commercial real estate loan portfolio to Athene Holding Ltd. for a purchase price of 99.7% of total loan commitments. Following repayment of financing facilities and other indebtedness, the Company expects to have approximately $1.4 billion in net cash and $1.7 billion in common stockholders' equity. ARI will retain its net equity interest in real estate properties, totaling $466 million as of September 30, 2025.
