Ant Group Launches 100 Top AI Doctors Plan for 24/7 Medical Access

Ant Group, a prominent technology company, has announced an ambitious initiative to accelerate the integration of AI in the healthcare sector. The company plans to create AI avatars, or "AI intelligent bodies," for 100 top medical experts within the next year. This initiative, dubbed the "100 Top AI Doctors" plan, aims to address the scarcity of top medical talent and provide patients with round-the-clock access to expert medical advice.

The first batch of AI avatars includes over 20 breast cancer specialists from leading hospitals such as Zhejiang University Medical College Affiliated First Hospital, Zhejiang University Medical College Affiliated Second Hospital, and Fudan University Affiliated Cancer Hospital. These AI avatars are already available on Alipay's AI Health Manager platform, which hosts over 90 AI avatars of renowned doctors from hospitals like Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Shanghai Renji Hospital.

Ant Group's AI Health Manager platform offers a range of services, including 24/7 AI consultations, multi-round diagnostic inquiries, and report interpretations. The platform is powered by a comprehensive medical model that integrates multiple leading AI models, such as DeepSeek-R1/V3, Qwen, and Bai Ling. This model supports the entire disease management cycle, from screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up care. Patients can also submit requests for in-person consultations through the platform, which assists doctors in pre-consultation assessments and quickly gathers patient information.

Ant Group's foray into the medical AI sector began in 2023, with the acquisition of Haodf Online in January. The company has since developed a three-dimensional service system that connects medical institutions, doctors, and patients. This system covers the entire medical AI process, from diagnosis and treatment to health management, creating a seamless closed loop.

In March, Ant Group unveiled its latest AI product upgrades for medical institutions, doctors, and users. For medical institutions, the company collaborated with Huawei's medical and health team and Alibaba Cloud to launch the "Ant Medical Large Model All-in-One Machine" solution. For the 290,000 registered doctors on Haodf Online, Ant Group introduced a series of AI doctor assistant tools. Additionally, the AI Health Manager app for users was enhanced with features like intelligent thinking and health self-assessment.

Ant Group's initiative to create AI avatars for top medical experts is a significant step towards leveraging AI to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency. By providing patients with 24/7 access to expert medical advice, the company aims to alleviate the strain on the healthcare system and enhance the overall quality of care.
