The Angelika Film Center & Cafe in New York City, operated by Reading International, Inc. (NASDAQ: RDI), is set to host a unique cinematic experience with the premiere of Wes Anderson’s latest film, The Phoenician Scheme. Starting on May 29, the Angelika will transform its lobby and cafe to provide moviegoers with an immersive experience inspired by the film.
The two-week event, titled "The Phoenician Scheme x Angelika Experience," will feature a re-designed lobby and cafe, themed to transport visitors into the world of intrigue depicted in the film. Highlights include a themed bar, Marseille Bob’s, serving customized menu items and signature drinks. Additionally, guests can strike poses with film-inspired props, such as an Egyptian elevator and vintage train, and enjoy live music performances by a six-piece jazz band.
The event will also offer exclusive merchandise for purchase, including character tote bags and Marseille Bob’s T-shirts. Tickets for the experience are available now through the Angelika website or app.
The Angelika is honored to have Director Wes Anderson and cast members Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, and Michael Cera in attendance for Q&A sessions and introductions on May 30. The event promises to be a unique blend of cinema and entertainment, offering moviegoers an unforgettable experience.
