"Amouranth Ambushed: Crypto Heist Gone Wrong"

OnlyFans star and Twitch streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, known online as Amouranth, was the target of an armed robbery attempt on Sunday, March 2, with the assailants seeking access to her $20 million in cryptocurrency. The 31-year-old was reportedly dragged from her bed, pistol-whipped, and ordered to transfer her crypto assets.

Siragusa managed to turn the tables on her attackers, shooting one of them during the confrontation. She later confirmed that she was safe but covered in blood, with most of it not being hers. The robbery attempt occurred following her public display of crypto wealth in November, when she shared screenshots of her Coinbase account showing approximately $20 million in Bitcoin.

The Houston native has a large online following, ranking as the eighth most-watched female streamer in 2024 with 14.63 million watched hours. Beyond her online presence, Siragusa has diversified her income through various investments, including several 7-Eleven gas stations.

The alleged robbers came prepared for the heist, bringing duct tape, masks, and handguns. Law enforcement is currently investigating the incident, with no official statements released regarding arrests or the condition of the wounded robber.

The targeting of cryptocurrency holders for physical robbery has become an emerging concern in the security space. Unlike traditional bank accounts, crypto assets can be transferred instantly and with limited recourse for recovery once moved. Some social media users have expressed skepticism about the incident, suggesting it might be staged for publicity, but these claims remain unsubstantiated.
