ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited (AMNSIL) is setting up a 17.8 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant (ISP) in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh. The plant will produce six finished saleable products, 70% of which are hot rolled coils accounting for 5.8 MTPA capacity in Phase-I. The ISP's capital cost is estimated at ₹67,345 crore and the total water requirement is approximately 135 MLD. The power requirement is 867 MW, with 227 MW to be met through captive generation and the balance sourced from the grid. The company has formulated an environmental management plan of ₹3,540 crore with annual recurring cost of ₹355 crore.
