Ameriprise Financial Services has agreed to acquire $28 billion in assets from Huntington Bank's wealth division, including 260 financial advisors. The deal will see Ameriprise provide its technology platform, investment options, and financial planning tools to the advisors, who will continue to work with Huntington Financial Advisors. The deal is the largest for Ameriprise's institutional group and comes as the firm's partnership with Comerica may be in flux following Fifth Third Bancorp's acquisition announcement.
