Ameresco, Republic Services, and U.S. Energy are celebrating the completion of their 15th renewable energy facility at the Lee County Landfill in Dixon, IL. The 11.7 MWe facility can process 4,500 scfm of landfill gas annually, producing nearly 1.2M dekatherms of renewable energy and reducing emissions by displacing fossil fuels. The project is part of a partnership between the three companies to develop renewable energy facilities, with many more in various stages of development, permitting, and construction.
