Amazon expands multi-channel fulfillment to include Shein, Shopify, and Walmart merchants.

Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) has announced the expansion of its Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) service to support merchants on Shein, Shopify, and Walmart. This move builds on the success of Amazon MCF in enabling fulfillment for merchants on various sales channels, including eBay, Etsy, Temu, and TikTok Shop .

Amazon MCF allows businesses to simplify their fulfillment processes, increase sales through existing channels, and quickly launch in new online stores by leveraging a shared inventory pool with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA). This eliminates the need for separate fulfillment operations, providing merchants with a powerful advantage to grow their businesses .

The expansion to Shein, Shopify, and Walmart is part of Amazon's broader strategy to help merchants build and scale their businesses across Amazon.com, their own websites, other online retailers, and social media channels. Peter Larsen, Vice President of Amazon Multichannel Commerce & Fulfillment, stated, "Amazon’s world-class fulfillment network delights customers with fast, reliable delivery—fueling the success of independent sellers in the U.S. and around the world" .

Merchants can now seamlessly integrate Amazon MCF to manage their inventory and streamline fulfillment for their Shein, Shopify, and Walmart orders. For Shein U.S. Marketplace, Amazon will introduce the Amazon MCF for Shein app by year-end, enabling merchants to fulfill their orders through Amazon MCF. For Shopify, merchants can select Amazon MCF as their fulfillment partner to deliver their Shopify orders quickly and reliably. Walmart Marketplace merchants can use Amazon MCF to fulfill their orders through integration partners or manually through Amazon Seller Central .

Since its launch, Amazon MCF has shown significant growth, fulfilling millions more orders quickly and reliably each year. The service has expanded to serve hundreds of thousands of merchants worldwide, with a 40% increase in large online retailers using Amazon MCF year-over-year. Additionally, Amazon MCF has delivered 30% more items the same day or next day year-over-year, powered by investments in delivery stations, sortation centers, and transportation hubs .

Amazon MCF helps merchants reduce out-of-stock rates by an average of 19% and improve inventory turnover by an average of 12%. Merchants have also reported a nearly 19% increase in sales or revenue since adding Amazon MCF to their off-Amazon retail channels .
