Amazon Acquires Fauna Robotics to Enhance Home Automation and Robotics Capabilities

Amazon has acquired Fauna Robotics, a startup developing kid-size humanoid robots. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, and Fauna's employees will join Amazon in New York City. Fauna began shipping its first product, Sprout, earlier this year. This is Amazon's second robotics acquisition this month, following the acquisition of Rivr, a Zurich-based autonomous robotics startup.
