Low altitude economy company Summit Aero-tech has secured a significant order for 12 large eVTOLs, totaling RMB157 million.

Low-altitude economy Summit Aviation announced on February 11 that it has received an order for 12 large eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft) from Han Yang Investment Development Group and received the prepayment for the order, with a total contract amount of RMB157 million. Summit Aviation will work with the Hanyang District People's Government of Wuhan to carry out the first demonstration of special scenes and passenger scenes in low-altitude, and promote the widespread application of large eVTOL aircraft technology. The procurement order includes cargo models, emergency fire models and 5-seat passenger models. At present, Summit Aviation's V2000CG Kairuiou has obtained the world's first type certificate and production license for eVTOL aircraft with a tonnage of more than one ton. The relevant person in charge of Summit Aviation revealed that the 5-seat passenger version of the medium and long-range eVTOL aircraft V2000EM Shengshi Long is in the process of obtaining airworthiness certification, and is expected to be put into commercial operation after completing airworthiness certification in 2026. It is reported that Hanyang District, Wuhan, located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Han rivers, is one of the urban districts of Wuhan, and will be the first to build a "low-altitude full-scenario demonstration center", create special unmanned scenes such as branch line logistics, air emergency and fire rescue, and carry out the first demonstration of passenger scenes in the future, relying on the approved aerial sightseeing routes on the north bank of the Yangtze River, expand the "low-altitude + cultural tourism" application scenarios, and lead the opening of Hanyang City Flight. In the future, it will gradually connect the 1+8 urban circle of Wuhan, use eVTOL to achieve a half-hour city flight circle centered on Hanyang, and actively integrate into the construction of the new Hanyang Railway Station, and build an exclusive eVTOL disembarkation area in advance, and work hard to create the first case of air passenger transfer between eVTOL and high-speed railway station.
