Alibaba Cloud has refuted claims of a large order for Cambricon GPUs. The company is an investment holding firm mainly engaged in technology infrastructure and marketing platforms. It operates through nine segments, including China Commerce Retail, Cloud Intelligence, International Commerce Retail, Cainiao Logistics Services, Local Services, Digital Media and Entertainment, and All Others. Alibaba Group Holding Ltd provides customer management services, sales of goods, and logistics services.

Alibaba Cloud has dismissed reports of a significant increase in its order of Cambricon MLU370 chips, contrary to earlier speculation. The company has clarified that while it supports the national military production chain through its cloud services and multiple chips, the claim of procuring 150,000 Cambricon GPUs is untrue [1].

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, a major investment holding firm, is primarily engaged in providing technology infrastructure and marketing platforms. Its operations span across nine segments, including China Commerce Retail, Cloud Intelligence, International Commerce Retail, Cainiao Logistics Services, Local Services, Digital Media and Entertainment, and All Others [2]. The company's Cloud Intelligence segment offers cloud services, while other segments provide customer management services, sales of goods, and logistics services.

Despite the recent refutation, Alibaba Cloud continues to invest heavily in AI infrastructure and R&D. Over the past year, the company has spent over 100 billion yuan on AI-related initiatives. This significant investment is part of Alibaba Group's strategy to build a technology platform centered on AI and cloud computing, as well as to create a comprehensive shopping and daily life services consumption platform [3].

Alibaba Group's CEO, Yongming ‘Eddie’ Wu, has emphasized that the company sees two historic opportunities: to leverage AI and cloud technologies and to expand its shopping and daily life services. This strategic focus is expected to drive the company's future growth and innovation.
