As artificial intelligence (AI) systems become increasingly prevalent, the demand for fast, secure, and flexible infrastructure that is not tied to any central provider is growing. Aleph Cloud, a chain-agnostic, GDPR-compliant supercloud, addresses this need by delivering scalable storage, computing, and database services through a network of distributed nodes.
Aleph Cloud combines dynamic, IPFS-based storage with mutable databases and secure compute resources to support a wide range of applications, from real-time data processing in gaming to large-scale AI model deployment. The broader Aleph ecosystem also features TwentySix Cloud, a suite of services that simplifies application deployment and management on this distributed infrastructure.
AI agents, which require constant access to reliable compute power and secure, up-to-date data, can benefit significantly from Aleph Cloud. The platform offers scalable compute options, including on-demand and persistent VMs, as well as confidential VMs for isolated and secure environments. Serverless functions, similar to AWS Lambda but built on a distributed network, allow for efficient, event-driven computing without long-term resource commitment.
Aleph Cloud ensures secure processing through confidential VMs, which use hardware-based encryption (AMD SEV) and end-to-end encryption for data transfers. The platform also provides flexible, multi-chain integration, allowing AI agents to interact with different chains seamlessly. An upcoming GPU marketplace, set to launch in Q1, will support high-performance tasks like AI training and rendering, further enhancing the platform's capabilities for AI workloads.
Key technical features of Aleph Cloud include computing solutions such as on-demand and always-on VMs and serverless functions, as well as confidential VMs secured with AMD SEV encryption. The platform offers dynamic, IPFS-based storage paired with mutable databases and encrypted volumes, supporting real-time updates and data management essential for AI agents that require access to evolving datasets.
Use cases for Aleph Cloud include gaming, decentralized identity, data indexing, and AI-driven applications. Collaborations with Ubisoft have enabled the use of dynamic NFT metadata in on-chain games, while partnerships with Synaps and Anima leverage Aleph Cloud for secure, self-sovereign identity management. Distributed indexing provides an efficient way to query on-chain data, particularly beneficial for applications in decentralized finance and other areas where real-time data processing is crucial.
