Airtel raises $1 billion for Nxtra data centres, attracts global investors

Bharti Airtel has announced a $1 billion investment in its data center arm Nxtra Data Limited. The investment comes from Alpha Wave Global, Carlyle Group, Anchorage Capital, and Airtel itself. Airtel will retain a controlling stake in Nxtra, and the deal is subject to regulatory approvals in India. The investment aims to support Airtel's expansion in the data center business.
