Nxtra by Airtel has strengthened its partnership with Ampin Energy Transition to source over 200 MW of renewable energy. The additional capacity will be delivered in two phases through captive solar-wind power projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka. This achievement highlights Nxtra's leadership in using ISTS-backed clean energy to power its facilities sustainably. Ampin Energy Transition will supply solar power to Nxtra through intra-state and inter-state renewable energy solutions.

Nxtra by Airtel, a leading data centre solutions provider, has significantly bolstered its renewable energy sourcing capabilities by partnering with Ampin Energy Transition. The collaboration involves an agreement to source an additional 125.65 MW of solar-wind hybrid energy, bringing the total renewable energy partnership between the two companies to over 200 MW [1].

The new agreement will see the delivery of the additional capacity in two phases through captive solar-wind power projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka. This expansion is part of Nxtra's broader strategy to maximize its infrastructural efficiency and drive deeper decarbonisation [1].

Ampin Energy Transition, which has previously supplied solar power to Nxtra through intra-state, open access in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha, will now expand its renewable energy solutions to 11 new states. This includes the integration of large-scale ISTS renewable energy supply and seamless renewable energy supply from a single Independent Power Producer (IPP) [1].

The partnership underscores Nxtra's commitment to sustainability and its leadership in using ISTS-backed clean energy to power its facilities. This achievement aligns with Nxtra's pledge to source 100 per cent of its electricity from renewable sources, as part of its membership in the global RE100 initiative [2].
