Airbus has finalized the acquisition of industrial assets from Spirit AeroSystems, expanding its workforce by 4,000 employees. The acquisition includes facilities in North Carolina, France, and Morocco, as well as production of A220 wings and mid-fuselage in Belfast and wing components in Scotland. Airbus will receive $439 million in compensation and settle debts under existing purchase agreements. The deal is expected to strengthen Airbus's commercial aircraft program capabilities.
