Air Link comm. unit plans Pakistan IPO
Air Link Communication Limited, a leading mobile and IT product distributor in Pakistan, has announced plans for what would be the country's largest private-sector initial public offering. The company, incorporated in 2014 and converted to a public limited entity in 2019, specializes in the import, distribution, and retail of communication devices, including smartphones, tablets, and accessories. Its leadership includes Muzzaffar Hayat Piracha as CEO and Aslam Hayat Piracha as chairperson according to company records.
Recent financial data highlights the company's growth trajectory. For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, Air Link reported sales of PKR 56.14 billion, with an earnings per share (EPS) of PKR 8.76, reflecting a year-over-year increase from PKR 56.28 billion in 2024 (EPS: PKR 7.74). Quarterly results for Q1 2026 show sales of PKR 13.42 billion, with an EPS of PKR 1.54, indicating seasonal volatility but sustained annual growth compared to PKR 21.50 billion in sales for the full 2023 fiscal year.
The firm has also maintained a consistent dividend policy, with recent distributions including a final cash dividend declared in November 2025. Its prospectus, initially filed in 2021, outlines strategic objectives to expand market share in Pakistan's growing tech sector. The IPO's timing aligns with heightened investor interest in domestic technology and consumer-facing enterprises, though specific pricing and valuation details remain undisclosed.
With operations centered in Lahore and a robust distribution network, Air Link's public listing aims to enhance liquidity while funding further expansion in an increasingly digitized market.
