X's AI Price Surge: Premium+ Plan Nearly Doubles

Following the release of Musk's AI company xAI's latest AI model, Grok 3, subscription-based AI platform X has significantly increased the price of its top-tier Premium+ subscription plan. The new pricing, which provides users with access to the latest models, has almost reached $50 per month.

The updated pricing for the Premium+ plan in the United States is now $50 per month, with an annual price of $350. This marks the second time X has raised the price of the Premium+ plan in recent months. In December 2024, the company increased the subscription fee from $16 per month to $22 per month.

By current pricing calculations, the cost of the new plan will be more than double what Premium+ users are currently paying. xAI has placed some features of Grok 3 in a separate SuperGrok plan, which users can access through the Grok application. As a result, only features like "deep search" and "inference" will be open to Premium+ plan users.

It is worth noting that X's pricing is not consistent. When attempting to sign up for the Premium+ plan, X shows a monthly cost of $39.83 ($477.95 annually), but the final checkout page shows an annual fee of $395.
