Meat processing giant Tyson FoodsTSN-- (TSN.US) announced it will host a special event for its venture capital unit in northwest Arkansas on July 9. The fourth annual TysonTSN-- Demo Day will focus on the development of artificial intelligence in the food technology sector, focusing on consumer and customer brand engagementBNAI--, research and development innovation, and reimagining product development processes.
"This year, we're focusing on the transformative potential of artificial intelligence to enhance our connection with customers and consumers, design innovative products, and provide exceptional experiences," said Doug Kulka, Tyson Foods' chief information officer.
Tyson Foods is welcoming artificial intelligence startups focused on the customer and consumer space to participate in the event. Areas of focus include customer insights, integrated consumer feedback, advanced product and packaging concepts and visualizations, research and development efficiency, personalized services, and innovative analytics.
The event is being hosted by Tyson Ventures, the company's venture capital unit.
Since the beginning of the year, Tyson Foods' stock has risen nearly 7%.
