AI is seeing a "agent wave" with OpenAI set to launch its AI agent tool Operator
OpenAI is preparing to launch a new artificial intelligence agent called "Operator" that can perform tasks on a computer in place of a human, such as writing code or booking travel, according to two people familiar with the matter. The company's leadership announced plans to release the tool as a research preview in January and through the company's application programming interface for developers at a staff meeting on Wednesday, one of the people said. OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
