Agoric and Noble Launch Fast USDC, Reducing Transfer Time to Under 60 Seconds

This innovation addresses the fragmentation in the current blockchain ecosystem, making cross-chain transactions more efficient and user-friendly. The solution is now live on Noble’s Express dApp, leveraging Agoric’s orchestration layer and Noble’s role as a native USDC issuer in the cosmos ecosystem.

Fast USDC achieves this by combining Agoric’s smart contract orchestration with Noble’s on-chain infrastructure. The process involves a user initiating a transfer on an EVM chain through Noble Express. An off-chain watcher detects the deposit and sends a proof to the Agoric orchestration contract, which then advances USDC from a Cosmos-side liquidity pool, giving the user access to funds in seconds. Once the original transaction finalizes, USDC is minted on Noble and used to reimburse liquidity providers, all on-chain. Funds are then routed via IBC to the user’s wallet on a destination Cosmos chain. This model abstracts away the complexity of cross-chain transactions, enabling a single-signature, near-instant transfer experience.
Beyond speed, Fast USDC opens new possibilities for applications. Developers can integrate orchestration to immediately deploy incoming USDC into yield strategies, auto-compounding, trading, or staking, all without requiring additional user input. This innovation improves stability and flexibility across Web3 applications, reducing user churn and enabling new automated DeFi flows.
