ARLINGTON, Va. — Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has announced a new national career training initiative aimed at supporting Officers and Senior Enlisted personnel transitioning to civilian careers. The program, designed to provide tailored skilling and career development support, will help Veterans translate their military expertise into civilian roles, particularly in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence (AI).
The initiative, which aligns with the Trump Administration's focus on AI education and workforce development, addresses the unique challenges faced by Veterans who operate at a very senior leadership level. Accenture Federal Services, a subsidiary of Accenture, will offer a comprehensive training program that includes AI-powered learning experiences, technical mentorship, and broader career support such as interview preparation and resume assistance.
Key features of the program include access to Accenture's LearnVantage platform, an AI-powered learning service that offers a flexible and self-directed curriculum. LearnVantage integrates capabilities from recent Accenture acquisitions, including Udacity and Ascendient Learning, to provide hands-on training and industry-recognized certifications. The platform will cover a range of topics, including emerging areas like agentic AI, and will equip participants with the skills needed to succeed in today's job market.
"Training and skilling have become an urgent priority for leaders as organizations look to harness the incredible power and opportunities of AI and other advanced technologies," said Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO of Accenture. "Former U.S. military officers and senior enlisted personnel bring unparalleled discipline, adaptability, and leadership qualities, honed through years of dedicated service. Our program is a strategic investment in unlocking Veterans’ potential and equipping them with the skills they need to thrive in the age of AI, as well as helping the U.S. more quickly adopt AI at scale to dominate the global AI race."
The initiative aims to scale training for officers and senior enlisted personnel quickly, create clear career paths, and connect Veterans with meaningful opportunities in high-growth sectors. By combining the inherent strengths of Veterans with Accenture's world-class training capabilities, the program seeks to open doors to rewarding careers while developing exceptional talent for organizations across the U.S.
