The abrdn Asia-Pacific Income Fund VCC has announced that it will not conduct a voluntary cash redemption of shares in 2026, as the condition for the redemption offer was not met. The annual redemption feature allows shareholders to voluntarily surrender shares for redemption if the trading discount exceeds a certain threshold. However, the average discount for the Fund in 2025 was 9.08%, which was less than the threshold. The portfolio manager, Adam McCabe, expressed optimism about the Asia Pacific Fixed Income markets, citing robust fundamentals and positive real yields across many markets.
