3,513 Students Awarded Degrees at GITAM University Graduation Ceremony

At GITAM Deemed to be University, 3,513 students received degrees in various disciplines, including engineering, pharmacy, and management, at the 16th Graduation Ceremony. 48 students received gold medals, while senior faculty members received Best Researcher Awards. Bosch Global Software Technologies' Centre head Naveed Narayan emphasized the potential of the youth generation to create new business ventures using AI. GITAM president M. Sribharat advised students to shift their mindset from seeking job security to becoming solution providers and job creators.

In a significant milestone, GITAM Deemed to be University awarded degrees to 3,513 students across various disciplines at its 16th Graduation Ceremony held on July 27, 2025. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of students in engineering, pharmacy, architecture, science, law, humanities, and management [1].

The event highlighted the university's support for innovation and entrepreneurship. GITAM's Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Y. Gouthama Rao, announced that the university has supported 120 student startups through its Venture Development Centre. He also noted a commendable placement success, with around 530 companies visiting the campus and 90% of students securing jobs [1].

The ceremony also recognized the academic achievements of 48 students who received gold medals. Senior faculty members Prof. P. Bharani Chandra Kumar and P. Shanthi Latha were awarded the Best Researcher Awards for their outstanding work [1].

Bosch Global Software Technologies' Centre head and vice-president, Naveed Narayan, emphasized the immense potential of the youth generation to create new business ventures using Artificial Intelligence (AI). He discussed how factors such as demographics, geopolitics, digital commerce, and AI are shaping India's future [1].

GITAM President and Visakhapatnam MP M. Sribharat advised students to shift their mindset from seeking job security to becoming solution providers and job creators. He underscored the emergence of new opportunities and the importance of entrepreneurial thinking [1].

The ceremony also highlighted the university's commitment to infrastructure development. AU Vice-Chancellor G.P. Rajasekhar emphasized that infrastructural facilities would contribute immensely to the development of the students [1].
