2degrees and One NZ to shut down 3G networks in New Zealand.

2degrees will begin shutting down its 3G mobile network on December 14, starting with 100 rural cell towers that have been upgraded to 4G. All 3G service will end by early 2026. Separately, One NZ has rescheduled its shutdown, with the first towers to be shut on January 20 in Dunedin and service in most centers to be shut down on February 24.
