New Zealand Children's Hospitals Overwhelmed by Flu Season

New Zealand children's hospitals are facing their busiest flu season in years, with an 85% increase in severe respiratory symptom admissions since July. Extra pediatricians are being drafted in and elective procedures are being postponed. Paediatrician Dame Teuila Percival describes the winter as the worst in years, with over 70 children admitted per week to Kidz First and Starship hospitals.
