RYAM--

Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc. (RYAM) continues to prioritize its strategic alternatives review as it seeks to maximize shareholder value. Following the immediate resignation of President and CEO Scott M. Sutton, the company established an interim Office of the Chief Executive Officer (OFC), composed of senior executives including Chief Financial Officer Marcus Moeltner, Vice President of Manufacturing Michael Osborne, Senior Vice President of Biomaterials Christian Ribeyrolle, and General Counsel R. Colby Slaughter. The OFC will oversee operations during the transition period while the Board of Directors evaluates potential strategic options.

The strategic review, supported by financial advisor Morgan Stanley and legal counsel Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, may consider a range of alternatives, including a sale of all or part of the company, a merger, or a strategic investment. The Board has not set a timeline for the process and will provide updates only if required by law or deemed appropriate.

RYAM, a global leader in cellulose and derivatives, reported $1.5 billion in revenue in 2025 and operates manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Canada, and France. The company has emphasized its commitment to sustainability, leveraging renewable resources to produce alternatives to fossil-fuel-based materials. As the strategic review progresses, stakeholders will be watching for developments that could reshape the company’s long-term direction.
