Kuki Tribesmen Killed in Manipur Attacks; Naga Groups Blamed

Four members of the Kuki tribes were killed in attacks by unidentified people in Manipur. Kuki organisations have alleged that Naga insurgents from NSCN(IM) and ZUF(K) were responsible for the attacks. A woman was also reported missing. The Manipur chief minister's office condemned the violence, calling it unacceptable. The Kuki-Naga ethnic conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 1,000 people since 1992, with the 2023 Kuki-Meitei violence claiming over 260 lives.
