Austin Metals Ltd-drilling commences at the Austin Gold Project

Austin Metals Limited (ASX:AYT) has commenced a major drilling program at its Austin Gold Project in Western Australia, marking a key step in the company’s exploration strategy. The project, located in the Murchison gold mining district, spans approximately 175 square kilometers and is situated near two operating mills and the Great Northern Highway, offering strategic logistical advantages. The Murchison Province has historically produced over 17 million ounces of gold and remains a highly prospective region for new discoveries.

Recent drilling has already intersected multiple shallow, high-grade gold zones at the Mt Sandy core of the project. Notable results include intersections such as 5.0 meters at 4.4 g/t Au from 64 meters, including 1.0 meter at 10.7 g/t Au. These findings indicate the potential for a larger gold system, with test a five-kilometer anomaly identified through soil geochemistry.

The company is pursuing a systematic exploration approach, incorporating further drilling, geophysics, and geochemical surveys to refine the geological model and identify additional mineralized trends. With strong infrastructure and proximity to established processing facilities, the Austin Gold Project is well positioned to advance toward potential development.
