Auckland Council has successfully reduced dog attacks on sheep by introducing six llamas at Ambury Park and Puhinui Reserve. The council has also switched to a new breed of lambs, "Cool Sheep" Romneys, which produce less methane and have a hardier temperament. This move aims to improve the environmental sustainability of the council's farming operations.
