India's Air Travel Boom Sets New Growth Forecast at 9.3%

India's domestic air travel growth is expected to remain the fastest in the Asia-Pacific region, with Airbus raising its forecast to 9.3% from 8.9%. The aircraft maker has not seen any softening in demand or deliveries despite geopolitical tensions and supply-chain challenges. India is projected to require 3,480 new passenger aircraft over the next 20 years, while China is expected to need 8,830 new aircraft. Airbus sees strong demand and deliveries, with Chinese airlines also facing a significant need to renew their fleets.
