Crypto stocks rise as Bitcoin prices gain more than 2%
Bitcoin prices surged more than 2% on June 22, 2026, reclaiming the $111,000 level and sparking gains in leading crypto-related stocks. The rally reflects a stabilization in market sentiment following a recent correction, with analysts noting that institutional demand remains resilient.
Among the top performers, MicroStrategy (MSTR) saw its stock rise by over 2% after disclosing the purchase of an additional 168 bitcoins, bringing its total holdings to 640,418 bitcoins with an aggregate purchase price of $47.4 billion. Trading platforms Robinhood (HOOD) and Coinbase (COIN) also experienced notable gains, rising nearly 4.5% and 2.5%, respectively. Stablecoin issuer Circle (CRCL) added 3.5% to its share price as momentum in the digital asset space continued to build.
Bitcoin miners, many of which have expanded into high-performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure, also saw strong performance. MARA Holdings (MARA) rose 6%, Bit Digital (BTBT) climbed 15%, and Cipher Mining (CIFR) gained 6%.
The broader market optimism was further supported by news from Japan, where regulators are considering policy changes that would allow banks to hold cryptocurrencies, signaling growing institutional acceptance.
Bitcoin’s price movements are influenced by a range of factors, including macroeconomic conditions, regulatory developments, and the four-year halving cycle. Additionally, adoption by companies and governments, as well as speculative trading activity, can significantly impact short-term price trends.
While the recent gains suggest a potential stabilization in the market, investors should remain mindful of the inherent volatility and risks associated with cryptocurrencies.
