ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES INC. reported combined revenue of NT$14.32 billion for the first half of 2024, combining its first and second quarters. In the first quarter of 2024, the company generated NT$5,418.7 million in revenue, representing a 17.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023. For the second quarter of 2023, prior to the first quarter of 2024, the company reported revenue of NT$5,444.1 million. This indicates that the company maintained a relatively stable revenue level between the second quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, despite a 5.4% decline from the fourth quarter of 2023.

The company also noted a 180 basis point increase in gross margin to 14.2% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to 12.4% in the first quarter of 2023. Net earnings for the first quarter of 2024 more than doubled to NT$0.60 per basic common share from NT$0.28 in the same period in 2023. ChipMOS also reported a strong financial position, with NT$12,164.6 million in cash and cash equivalents as of March 2024.

The company’s board of directors has authorized a dividend of NT$1.8 per common share, pending shareholder approval at the May 2024 annual general meeting. The company continues to provide outsourced semiconductor assembly and test services to a global client base, operating from advanced facilities in Taiwan.
