U.S. Bancorp names Brian Mauney head of investor relations
U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) has announced leadership changes within its operations function, with Toby Clements appointed as senior executive vice president and chief operations officer, effective April 13, 2026. Clements succeeds Souheil Badran, who previously announced his retirement from the company. In his new role, Clements will oversee the company’s client service centers and global operations teams, managing a workforce of more than 16,000 employees. He will report directly to U.S. Bancorp Chief Executive Officer Gunjan Kedia and will join the company’s managing committee.
Clements brings extensive experience in leadership and operations, having joined U.S. Bank in 2017 as an executive officer in European operations. Over the past year, he led the organization’s client service centers and has been recognized for his transformative leadership and focus on operational efficiency. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Clements held executive roles at PTSB in Dublin and Tesco Bank in Edinburgh, as well as consulting and strategy positions at Navigant and Barclays in London.
CEO Gunjan Kedia praised Clements for his leadership qualities and deep understanding of the company’s operations, emphasizing his ability to deliver integrated, innovative, and client-focused experiences. Kedia also expressed gratitude for Souheil Badran’s contributions to the company’s operational foundation and people development.
U.S. Bancorp, headquartered in Minneapolis, is the parent company of U.S. Bank National Association, the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
