VARSAV Game Studios has entered into a two-year agreement with SAG-AFTRA, the union representing voice-over and performance-capture performers in the video game industry. The agreement, which extends the 2017 Interactive Media Agreement, includes annual wage increases of 3% and incremental improvements in employer health and retirement contributions. This extension was approved unanimously by SAG-AFTRA’s Interactive Media Agreement Standing Committee and its Executive Committee, reflecting a mutual commitment to maintaining stable working conditions amid ongoing industry challenges, including impacts of the global pandemic.

The agreement provides continuity for performers involved in VARSAV’s projects, including its upcoming title Barkour, which is currently in development. The studio has also recently secured a distribution and marketing partnership with Sapphire Entertainment for Barkour in China, a move expected to enhance the game’s market reach.

This agreement aligns with VARSAV’s broader strategy of supporting both creative and commercial aspects of game development, as demonstrated through its investments in Polish game studios. The two-year term includes the possibility of extension, offering flexibility for both parties as the industry evolves.
